Meet Dr. Jonathan Schlosser

Overview

Hello, I’m Dr. Jonathan B. Schlosser and it is a great pleasure to help my patients achieve the beautiful smiles they deserve.

Learning About My Patients

I love to hear about my adolescent patients’ lives and interests and especially enjoy discussing sports with them. They are funny and often come out with some really great stuff. My adult patients are wonderful for sharing family stories, especially since I have three young children of my own.

My Education

My education in orthodontics began at the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine where I graduated with high honors, receiving my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. I then received my Master of Science degree and Certificate of Orthodontics at the University of Buffalo’s orthodontic residency program where I was class president. Shortly after graduation, my Masters research was published in the Journal of Orthodontics and Dento-Facial Orthopedics. I have received several awards for academic excellence, including:

  • Omicron Kappa Upsilon Certificate of Scholarship
  • Carl W. Lasher Scholarship
  • William L. Tucker Scholarship
  • William M. Feagans Award
  • Block Drug Pharmacology Award

Continuing Education

Continuing education has always been a priority for me. These are some of the associations and study clubs that help keep me on the leading edge:

Something Personal

I am married to my wonderful wife, Kellie, with whom I have two sons and a daughter. When I’m not working I enjoy scuba diving, underwater and regular photography, kayaking, wakeboarding, water skiing, stand-up paddle boarding, and sailing. I also love going camping with the family and am an avid sports fan, especially rooting for the local New York teams.

Making Radiant Smiles

When a parent says their child never smiles in photos, I immediately take the challenge, saying with confidence, we’re going to change that, and I truly mean it.

Knowing that I can change peoples’ lives by creating beautiful smiles and functional bites, is one of the most rewarding gifts any doctor can receive. I’m proud to provide award winning smiles for the residents of Middletown, Monroe, Newburgh, Orange County, and Monticello, NY.

Solving Each New Puzzle

From a treatment perspective, I love the fact that no two malocclusions are exactly alike, which presents me with a new puzzle to solve each time a new patient walks into the office. Every case must be dissected to determine why the malocclusion is present, and then it is up to me to decide which methods are appropriate for treating the patient’s concerns as well as providing the best possible outcome.
